Any home interior can be incredibly transformed by a brand new wall clock. At the same time, it is not at all necessary to travel all over the city in search of a new masterpiece that will become a wonderful update.

For the Italian style, a base is made from wine corks and souvenir bottles.
A clock-steering wheel looks like a Mediterranean style; shells and sea pebbles are used for decoration.
For an eco-style interior, the base is made from wood cuts, twigs, and decorated with bark or moss.
Watch for a child

Kitchen decor
An indispensable attribute in the kitchen is a wall clock. It is advisable to make such a clock original, cheerful and in the same style as the apartment’s interior.
Coffee beans, pasta, beans and similar products will decorate the kitchen in ethnic styles, Provence, vintage and the like.
Operating procedure:
- Prepare a base - a circle or rectangle.
- Find the corresponding image in a color magazine or on a plastic napkin.
- Cover the base with primer, paint and dry.
- Apply glue diluted half with water.
- Lay out and level the image, dry.
- Mark the places where the products will be glued.
- Lay out and secure with stained glass paint.
- Apply clear acrylic varnish.
- After drying, it’s time to digitize and mount the mechanism.
Wall clock with cutlery
The dial, with forks and spoons glued to a plastic circle (disc box), is an interesting and fashionable model in a new kitchen.
A hole is drilled in the cut out circle and painted. Washed and degreased utensils are glued to the back side, preferably closer to one another. Then they paint it from a spray can.
Flower or sun made from plastic spoons
On a circle or oval made of cardboard or plywood, with a center cut out along the diameter of a round clock, spoons with cut-off handles are glued with ceiling or other glue. The first row goes along the outer edge, so that only the hemp of the handles is glued to the cardboard.
The next rows are placed in the spaces between the items of the previous row. The finished product is spray painted with the chosen color, dried and the watch is inserted. It is worth preparing a foam blank for the mechanism.
Tea clock
A bright and elegant design is obtained from 2-3 different light tea sets. Sand a round piece of plywood with a hole in the middle with sandpaper and paint it. Glue the saucers using silicone glue, and later they are added with cups.
There is time!
You can make an unusual wall clock for the kitchen in different ways:
- decorate with coffee beans;
- decorate with small plates, cups from a doll set;
- make a dial right on the wall out of... spoons and forks;
- Using a wooden or plywood board as a basis, decorate the dial with halves of wine corks.
This way you can update old watches or create new ones.

Features to pay attention to when creating
Before you start, if you are a complete beginner, look through photos of head made watches on the Internet. Take a closer look at the details. This can help you decide on a style, and will certainly inspire you for further creativity.
And also do not forget to make a hole in the base so that it matches the diameter of the thread. And select the rod so that it is convenient to screw it with a nut so that everything is fastened tightly and securely.
It would be best to first select a clock mechanism, and then select a base with the required thickness
The hands should be arranged in order: first the hour, then the minute, and the last is the second. Make sure that the hands do not touch each other, otherwise the clock will not work.

Jute, leather and other materials
Cut a thick jute thread and immerse it in PVA glue. The segments are laid out, intertwined like twigs. Rhinestones and beads are used for decoration.
A frame of braided leather cord is laid out around the dial.
The base made from a piece of burlap tucked under the watch device looks original. Wooden beads and plastic figures are glued on top.
If the canvas strap is cut into strips, diamonds, and other pieces and glued to the dial, they will create an interesting design.
Old newspapers and magazines for decoration
An artificial vine is made from sheets that are twisted into tubes; glue is applied to only one end of the tube. Such blanks are woven into a circle or square. Circles are cut out from colored lacquer illustrations and glued together in patterns.
Spirals are rolled from 1-2 cm strips. The flattened tubes are rolled and glued, creating an abstract composition.
With print
Fashionable timepieces can be made using a variety of prints. It is recommended to glue printed images to a primed plywood sheet. Similar models are sold by many well-known manufacturers. Round bases can be imitation of planets or stars (Earth, Moon, Saturn), porcelain plates. Fans of sports games will love the images of soccer and basketball balls. The circle base is suitable for gluing prints in the form of berries and fruits (watermelon, cherry, currant, apple). The product, the base of which has the shape of a balloon, will also look original. You will need to glue an empty basket or a basket with traveler figures to the bottom. Classic prints include images of landmarks located in the center of the chronometer. Such products are universal and can beautifully complement any room.
DIY wall clock design using decoupage technique
Decorating with napkins is fashionable and interesting, but accuracy and perseverance are required. For decoupage, choose special or regular 2-3-layer paper napkins with a beautiful pattern.
The plywood blank is treated with fine-grained sandpaper until smooth and covered with acrylic primer in 3-4 layers, allowing each to dry. Then they sand it again. Next, cut out the elements of the composition and use the upper part of the napkin.

1 way to glue parts. A thin layer of glue is applied to the base, and the cut out parts are laid out. A cellophane film or multifora is placed on top. The picture is ironed with a cloth towards the edges to remove air
Method 2. The element is laid out face down on the film and water is applied with a spray until the napkin floats, straightening the folds with a brush. After draining the remaining water, place it on the base and carefully, using a brush, remove the file. All that remains is to coat it with glue diluted with water and dry.
The finished composition is completed using acrylic paints and coated with varnish in 2-3 layers.
Craquelure, or the effect of an old thing
In this way, you can make not only a clock for the kitchen - everything will depend on the choice of workpiece and decoupage card. If you complicate the work a little, you can get an even more original piece of decor - using the craquelure technique.
You will need a special varnish, it is applied to the primed base - the primer is also taken not white, but colored. After this, craquelure varnish is applied, which, when dried, cracks. Now, as in the first case, we glue the napkins and coat the finished product with varnish. To make the cracks more noticeable, creating the effect of an aged item, pastel or paint is rubbed into the cracks.
