Long flared skirt

Let's look at how to make a long flared organza skirt with a zipper and lining. We will need a piece of organza and a piece of silk of the same color. We build a pattern on paper in the form of a trapezoid. The sides of the trapezoid are equal to the length of the skirt plus two centimeters. The upper base is half the waist circumference, the lower one is half the desired width (here we also add two centimeters). Transfer the pattern to silk and cut it out. Sew on one side and process the bottom. This is how we got the lining for the skirt. Next, cut the organza to the desired length. As for width, the wider the better. We process the bottom of the skirt, and gather the top with thread to create folds. Sew the waistbands of the top layer of the skirt and the lining, maintaining the folds. Now let's move on to the side seam: you need to sew four layers of fabric - two each of organza and silk. But this seam is not made along the entire length; we leave room for the zipper. We sew in a zipper by sewing the edges of the organza, silk and zipper together. Now we make a belt: cut a strip of silk 4-6 centimeters wide and a length equal to the waist circumference plus 6 centimeters. We process the edges, make a hem and sew the belt to the skirt. In this case, the belt will overlap above the zipper; here we sew on a button and make a slit - a loop. The skirt is ready.
