How to make a bouquet in the shape of a heart

Hello, my dear friends and simply creative people! Having barely had time to celebrate the New Year and dismantled the tree, the holiday is already on its heels again. And this is not a simple celebration: it is not even marked on the calendar along with all the others, but this does not prevent the holiday from being large-scale. What am I talking about? About Valentine's Day, February 14th.

Today's story is about a romantic and contemplative holiday: Valentine's Day. In this article I will show in detail ideas on how to make a DIY Valentine’s card for your friends and loved ones.

There has long been a myth that the one who receives a Valentine's card on this day will find his love.

I’m sure there will be those of you who say: “What should I do if I already have a second half?” And I will repeat once again and encourage you to make such surprises with your own hands not only to your other half, but also to your mother, and father, and grandmother, and the whole family. Believe me, there is nothing more expensive than attention and care to our loved ones.

A homemade Valentine's card is not only a sign of love, but also a creative and fun activity for children too.

The Internet is replete with offering performers simple postcards made of paper, in 3D format, and postcards using the techniques of decoupage and scrapbooking. But your postcard directly depends on your mood and ability to fantasize. Therefore, let's not hesitate, and let's start creating!

Heart in the palms

I suggest making the first option to a loving family. It's easy to do, anyone can do it.

To do this you will need:

  • paper
  • scissors
  • paints

First, cut out a large heart from paper, then you need to dip your entire palm in paint and make an imprint on a sheet of paper. The second person needs to do the same thing.

Well, with a wave of one hand, your valentine heart is ready! A great gift from a child to mom and dad.

3D HEART MADE OF CORRUGATED PAPER. MASTER CLASS

Even before the New Year, I purchased a small roll of bright pink corrugated paper from a craft store. Just the other day a roll caught my eye and I decided, what an idea for joint creativity?! Moreover, to make a three-dimensional heart from corrugated paper, there is no need to purchase additional materials. Everything that is required, I am sure, is in every home.

MATERIALS FOR MANUFACTURING A VOLUMETRIC HEART

  1. corrugated paper of suitable colors;
  2. cardboard;
  3. scissors, a stationery knife or a special knife for cutting paper/cardboard;
  4. glue stick;
  5. regular pencil or pen, felt-tip pen with a flat bottom.

HOW TO MAKE A 3D HEART FROM CORRUGATED PAPER?

1. Cut out a heart from cardboard. In my case, I made a cardboard heart frame by cutting out the core from the template.

2. Cut the corrugated paper into rectangles measuring approximately 1.5 by 3 cm;

3. Now comes the most important and rather painstaking work. We glue rectangles of corrugated paper to our cardboard blank. But first I let the child thoroughly tinker with the paper, and when it was my turn to bring our craft to fruition by February 14, I threw myself into work for half an hour. The principle of gluing rectangles is that we wrap paper on the flat end of a pencil, pen or felt-tip pen,

coat the workpiece with glue and glue the rectangle directly from the pencil to our heart.

To be honest, it takes longer to write than to do. The main thing in this matter is the progressive transition from one end of the blank heart to the other. And after half an hour, the volumetric heart made of corrugated paper is ready:

The use of such a voluminous heart can be very diverse: this is the decor of the room, and the use of the heart in a photo shoot, and even as a frame for a photograph of a beloved baby or for a family photo, or even for a baby’s hand made by . Looks bright and beautiful!

I hope I have inspired you to build such a heart. Older children will get to work with ease and enthusiasm, and the baby will be given all possible help.

Everyone is in a great mood!

When you want to confess your love to a loved one or acquaintance, you can’t find a better gift than a DIY craft. In this case, the type and form of the gift should be selected in each individual case. If you don’t want to do this, it’s enough to choose a universal gift that everyone will like. In this case we are talking about a heart-shaped craft. We will tell you in more detail how to make a heart out of paper.

I give my heart

For the second postcard idea, our palms will also come to help. But please note that the variation is also interesting and unusual. You can also call on children to help.

We will need:

  • colored paper
  • White paper
  • scissors
  • felt-tip pens
  • simple pencil
  • glue

Fold the sheet in half, apply your palm and outline it. Then we take scissors and cut strictly along the line of the palm.

Cut out a small heart and glue it inside our card. Inside the valentine, do not forget to write a couple of kind words to whom such a message will be intended.

From threads

Without wasting a minute, let's move on to the next version of the postcard. It will be voluminous and no less interesting. This card will be a wonderful surprise for Valentine's Day.

It will require:

  • cardboard
  • any knitted threads
  • scissors

First, cut out a heart from cardboard.

Here you can decide for yourself what size and color your craft will be.

Then we take knitting threads and wrap the heart around the office. You can play with thread colors and even add sequins or beads to your valentine's card for a pop of color.

Made from corrugated paper with flowers

I invite you to work with corrugated paper.

The idea will be interesting and impressive. I suggest mothers and grandmothers make this option for Valentine’s Day, as it embodies femininity and romance.

We will need:

  • corrugated paper in two colors
  • scissors
  • cardboard
  • satin ribbon

Cut out two hearts from cardboard. We take corrugated paper and cut it into strips, then twist and fold it to make a rose. There are a lot of flowers to be made. After that, take pink corrugated paper and make a frill around the edge of the heart, and attach a ribbon.

We completely cover the finished hearts with roses. Or you can do it on just one heart if you wish, and simply cover the other with corrugated paper.

Then we glue one part of the outline to the other finished part. And the tender heart is ready!

Corrugated paper heart

Crafts made from corrugated paper always turn out bright and positive. It is very easy to work with this material, it is easy to give it any shape and create interesting figures in a matter of minutes. A paper heart craft is perfect for decorating a room before a wedding ceremony, Valentine's Day, or just a romantic evening.

Beautiful heart made of paper

We need to cut a frame from dense material. It can be thick cardboard, plastic or even a thin sheet of plywood.

  1. We will decorate our corrugated paper heart with roses. First, twist the end of the roll into a small roller.
  2. Next, we gradually twist the rose, as ribbon craftsmen do.
  3. We fix every two or three turns with a glue gun.
  4. As a result, you will get a rose like this on a stem.
  5. We cut off the excess and apply glue to the lower part.
  6. All that remains is to fix the blanks on the template and our flower heart is ready.

How to make a volumetric heart out of paper?

If you have a free evening, you can make a more complex version.

  1. Cut out a heart-shaped template from cardboard.
  2. Next, cut small squares of corrugated paper.
  3. Using a pencil or pen, we make blanks: place the rod in the center of the square and crumple the paper around it.
  4. Now we attach these blanks to the template.
  5. This is what our corrugated paper heart looks like at this stage.
  6. On the reverse side, we make ruffles like this from a ribbon, strip of fabric or any other material so that the composition has a complete look.
  7. We attach our heart to the rod and place it in a container.
  8. We decorate everything and get a romantic topiary made of corrugated paper in the shape of a heart.

Corrugated paper hearts

You can hang these throughout your apartment, thereby decorating it for Valentine’s Day.

  1. Again, cut out the template from cardboard.
  2. Next, take a strip of paper and twist it into a spiral, not very tightly.
  3. From this spiral we simply roll roses in a circle.
  4. We fill the entire area of the template with them.
  5. We attach a spiral of paper along the edge, and on the reverse side we fix ruffles and a loop.
  6. The paper heart craft is ready!

Topiary heart made of corrugated paper

  1. We cut square blanks from paper of two colors.
  2. We place them one on top of the other, slightly moving them, as shown in the figure.
  3. Next, place the pencil in the center and scroll it a little, crumpling the edges of the paper.
  4. We will fix such blanks in a heart-shaped foam base.
  5. Next we attach the base rod.
  6. We install the entire structure in a container and decorate it at our discretion.

You can also make other crafts from corrugated paper, such as huge flowers.

Quilling style

If you take thin strips of multi-colored paper (or you can use ready-made ones for quilling), you can get an original heart like this. Try twisting these ring blanks and connecting them together with regular PVA glue. It is not even necessary to use a special tool for twisting. You can also use a simple wooden toothpick.

And another example: we twist strips of paper into simple flowers and decorate a heart with them.

Heart inserts

The next version of hearts will be made on skewers or toothpicks. They are made quite quickly and with great interest. And since Valentine’s Day is coming, let’s bring all our ideas to life!

For this you will need:

  • skewers or toothpicks
  • scissors
  • PVA glue
  • colored paper
  • simple pencil

Fold a piece of colored paper in four and cut the corners into a semicircle. Then we fold it like an accordion and string the colored paper onto a skewer exactly in the middle, gluing the edges in the center so that we get a heart. You can use this craft to decorate your inexpensive gifts or bouquets of flowers or cupcakes.

Basic operating principles

  1. The most necessary element that deserves special attention is the frame. Your entire further design will depend on which frame you choose;
  2. Styrofoam. This material is the most common because it is voluminous and durable. It will be most successful for large structures;
  3. Wire and cardboard are used mainly for small compositions;
  4. Paper. Corrugated paper is most suitable for forming flowers, but you can also use regular wrapping paper. And if you want your composition to be airy, then pay attention to tulle;
  5. Candies. Pay special attention to this point, try to choose exactly those candies that your recipient prefers, but do not forget about the weight category, since an unstable and thin frame may not withstand heavy loads;
  6. To attach the candies to the frame, get wooden skewers and double-sided tape. Also don't forget about the glue gun.

Using a stationery knife, cut out the workpiece to the desired size.

We cut out two parts from plain and corrugated paper according to the shape of the workpiece. We need this to decorate the base. Glue it.

In order to decorate the sides, cut out a strip about 5-6 cm thick and make a frill. And we glue it in the same way.

When the frame is ready, you can start decorating the candies.

There are a huge number of different ways to decorate these hearts: you can make flowers from corrugated paper, you can simply use toothpicks to secure our candies to the base. In this article, we will look at the first option.

Using tape, we attach the toothpicks to our candies.

These will be the cores of our future flowers.

Let's start making the petals. To do this, cut out blanks from paper.

From three identical blanks we cut out the petals as shown in the photo.

In order for them to become as graceful as flower petals, you need to wrap them around a toothpick and lightly press them with your fingers.

From rectangular blanks we fold an accordion and cut it out as follows.

As in the previous step, twist it onto a toothpick and shape it into a petal.

Now you can start assembling the flower.

We attach the finished flowers to the base using a glue gun.

If you want to add a little greenery and airiness, stock up on organza and mesh. We cut out squares of the same size from them, attach them to a toothpick in the following way:

And we also attach it to the base.

This is such a miracle we achieved. Agree, it’s hard to resist such a sweet, romantic gift.

As you can see, this work does not take much time and effort, you can use completely different candies and materials to decorate them, use your imagination and act.

Garland of hearts

It's time for the most time-consuming card idea yet. And it will be a valentine in the form of a garland. Naturally, you will have to work hard for a single day to make it, but I am sure your other half will be delighted with such a decoration for your home.

Hang it on the front door or in the hallway, and it will immediately create the right romantic mood.

Photo valentine

Another worthy place on our list is occupied by an unusual photo postcard.

In my opinion, such a postcard will not be a simple sign of attention, but will keep the warmth of loving hearts for a long time.

You can glue them in the shape of a big heart, or you can do it like this.

For production you will need:

  • a series of photos together (regular or instant Polaroid photo cards (usually made in photo booths in shopping centers)
  • sheet of cardboard
  • scissors
  • glue
  • felt-tip pen

Fold a sheet of cardboard and glue a general photo to the front side. Inside such a card, paste joint photos and add wishes regarding your couple.

And now a stylish and youthful postcard has been made. Isn't this wonderful?

When is a “bouquet of love” appropriate?

A creative composition in the shape of a heart is presented only if they want to express their feelings to the recipient. Moreover, we are talking about serious intentions, and not about light, non-binding flirting. The most appropriate reason for a gift:

  1. Wedding. In this case, the arrangement of hearts can also be used as decoration.
  2. Birthday.
  3. Valentine's Day - February 14th.
  4. March 8.
  5. Anniversary of a meeting, marriage, life together and other memorable dates that are important for two.

A heart-shaped bouquet does not have to be red. You can choose more original shades: powdery, soft lilac, white and pink, and so on. It is better to give young girls compositions of field herbs or spray roses in combination with eustoma, freesia and lilac.

You can add berries to the floristry - strawberries or blackberries, fruits, sweets. This option is suitable for arrangements in a box, where each element takes its own place and does not mix with others.
