Choice of fabric. To make a rag doll look beautiful and last a long time, it is better to choose natural fabrics (for example, cotton or linen). For the body, monotonous cuts without a pattern in flesh or beige shades are needed. White material can be easily colored with a solution of tea or weak coffee.

For filler, you can take pharmaceutical cotton wool, a piece of padding polyester or holofiber, and collect pieces of unnecessary fabric. Manufacturing process:

The master class will begin with selecting and printing Tilda's patterns. The size of the parts determines the overall size of the future product. The quantity is indicated inside the details. If “body x 2” means you need to trace the outline of the body once on the fabric, then turn it over and circle it again.
Having cut out all the parts of the future ballerina from the fabric, carefully connect them - sew them by hand or on a machine. At the same time, leave small convenient holes through which you can place the stuffing. When finished, turn the pieces wrong side down.
The good thing about the finished toy is that it has a certain pose. She seemed frozen while performing a dance step. To do this, you need to measure two identical pieces of thin wire so that they are slightly longer than the arms of the future ballerina. Use pliers to bend the edge of each piece, removing any sharp ends. Then, wrapping them with padding polyester (or cotton wool, depending on what is prepared for stuffing), carefully insert them inside the sewn parts of the arms. Fill the voids with the remaining filler.
Stuff and connect the parts of the legs and body according to the lines indicated on the patterns. Leave your hands for now.
Make two small holes in the body in the shoulder area, then insert the ends of the wire sticking out from the arms of the craft into it. Secure both parts with pins and carefully sew using a blind stitch.
Cloth. For a corset, you need to transfer the silhouette of the future ballerina onto the fabric and cut out the bodice. At the back, the edges of the bodice are simply connected and secured to the doll's body. You can decorate the corset of the dress by making lacing from linen or white floss. Sew a pack. A piece of linen with lace sewn at the bottom is suitable for it. You need to sew it along the edge, then pull it off to make the skirt airy. It is better to take a cut larger than the ballerina’s waist in advance, since after stitching the fabric will shrink.
Hairstyle. For it, you can collect a small bundle of dark floss threads or paint the haircut with paints. Complete the look with a small tiara or bows, sewing them neatly to the head.
All that remains is to make pointe shoes for the beauty - the leftover fabric from the dress pattern and white threads will do. The ballerina is ready!

Necessary materials to create a doll

To create this cute toy in the master class we need:

small pieces of fabric for the figure itself, as well as the doll’s clothes;
threads, sewing needle, scissors;
any filler (cotton wool or padding polyester);
floss threads for embroidering eyes and shaping hairstyles;
thin metal wire.

Procedure for the master class

First you need to make a pattern, transfer it to a fabric folded in half and cut out all the details of the ballerina's tilde (body with face, arms and legs) from the fabric.

Then you need to sew together the parts cut out in duplicate and folded facing each other, leaving holes in certain places for filling with filler, and turn out all the elements of the future doll.

In order for the doll we made to acquire the pose of a ballerina with her arms raised above her head, we take a wire a little longer than the length of the doll’s arm, wrap it with cotton wool or padding polyester, and bend it so that its sharp edge does not pierce the fabric, insert it into the elements of the arms. After this, we fill the cavities of the hands and other parts with filler.

We sew the parts of the doll’s legs to the body in certain places, and one of them can be sewn at an angle (in a raised shape).

To sew the parts of the arms to the body of the doll, you need to make holes in the required places of the body (near the shoulders), push the ends of the wire from the arms there, secure with pins and sew using a hidden seam.

We dress the doll, for which, using the pattern of the ballerina’s body, we create a corset from fabric of a different color, as well as a fluffy tutu skirt made from a piece of fabric gathered on one side, according to the “sun-flare” principle.

The final stage of our work is to design the doll’s face using embroidery or drawing the doll’s eyes, as well as creating a beautiful hairstyle, which can be made from threads or painted with acrylic paints.

Having chosen a suitable template for cutting, you need to prepare your workbench. So, to make a doll you will need:

Pieces of beige fabric for the shell of the toy.
Fabric for clothing, such as tulle.
Threads, needle, scissors.
Sewing machine (optional).
Filler.
Floss threads for shaping the face and yarn for the hair.
Paints.
Metal wire of medium thickness.

First you need to cut out the details of the template and transfer them to the fabric folded in half. Then cut out the doll's parts along the line, while making gaps for the seams.

The arms and torso pieces are then sewn together. The legs are sewn using the same pattern.
Now the ballerina's face and hair are being shaped. Using floss threads, the eyes and mouth of the toy are embroidered. And they create hair from yarn, which is then combed into a high bun.

The doll is ready! All that remains is to make the clothes.

As a corset, you can paint the doll's body (up to the waist) with white or light blue paint. When the surface dries, the corset can be decorated with sparkles, rhinestones or other beautiful little things.

Now you need to make a tutu skirt. To sew a skirt, you need to cut out five circles with a diameter of 15 cm from tulle. Then the blanks are folded four times. The next step is to cut an arc, the diameter of which will be approximately 0.3 cm. The resulting blanks are folded together and stitched in the belt area. Now the skirt can be put on the toy. The seam should be decorated with rhinestones.

Making pointe shoes for a doll is as easy as shelling pears. To do this, a small piece of satin fabric is folded in half. Then the foot pattern is transferred to fabric. The shoe parts are cut out, leaving space for the seams first. Paired parts are stitched together and turned inside out. Now a small piece of satin ribbon is sewn to each shoe and secured crosswise.

How to sew a tutu for a ballerina

For a ballerina, you need a beautiful, fluffy dress - a tutu. The hardest part is making the skirt. They usually don’t bother with the top, making a simple white top without straps. You can sew multi-colored beads onto it, it will look more elegant. Sew white threads to the back of the top, making lacing.

For a circle skirt you need a piece of snow-white tulle or other similar material. If the fabric is thin and see-through, you can additionally sew a shorter petticoat and provide the ballerina with beautiful long johns like those worn by girls in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Patterns are optional; you can cut out the skirt and top separately by eye. The only thing is that the skirt will require more fabric due to assembly.
