Dress made from scrap material for girls: master class with photos

Time does not stand still, it is always changing, and with time, fashion also changes. Every year it becomes easier for people to follow fashion trends, because more and more clothes are appearing from ordinary household items that can be found in every kitchen. For example, dresses made from scrap material will highlight your originality and skill, and, of course, will become an item in your wardrobe. You need to understand that you cannot wear most of these options in everyday life, but some dresses will definitely make your look more interesting.

Interesting options

Let's look at some ideas for creating this type of clothing. Perhaps you still don’t know what materials to use? Or what style of dress to choose? With this selection it will become much easier for you. It offers all the most popular and original dress options.

The first step is to figure out which option to use. In order to create original clothes, you will need everything except heavy and large materials. These may be those things that already have one foot in the trash. They can be given a new and interesting look.

Well, now let's move on to the ideas themselves. So, the most popular DIY dress made from scrap materials is a dress made from a man’s shirt. There are thousands of ways on the Internet to bring this idea to life, but we offer the most popular option - no sewing. The following photo shows in detail the entire manufacturing process.

Instead of a men's shirt, you can use a T-shirt several sizes larger. This is the second most popular option for making a dress. In the photo you can see that everything is much easier than it seems at first glance.

Dresses made from plastic bags are considered one of the easiest options to implement.

Also, beer cans are considered one of the waste materials from which a dress can be made.

Dresses made from rubber gloves are considered original.

And here is another worthy option for the competition - a dress made of rubber balls.

Original in a simple way

The process of making a detailed dress from scrap materials with your own hands for a girl can be traced using the example of a master class.

In order to make this work, you will need to prepare materials such as paper, a simple dress of the main color, thread and needle.

The sketch of the dress was originally like this, but in the process of work we remade it for the better.

The bottom of the dress is decorated with these petals. We will now show you how to make them.

Take a piece of A4 paper.

Fold it in half. But no need to bend! After folding the paper, bend it slightly so that a small mark (dent) remains. Thus, we marked the middle of the leaf.

Then we bend the sides towards the center line. But again we do not bend them entirely, but only a small place in order to mark the lines.

Fold the sheet in half and cut off the corners. Making smooth lines.

The photo shows the work as it looks at this stage in expanded form.

At this stage we need to connect the folds. To do this, use a stapler to fasten the outer lines and the middle together.

That's it, one petal for the dress is ready. As you can see, thanks to the method used above, the sheet turned out to be voluminous, there are no dents, which is the most important thing.

Now we make the required number of blanks.

For example, for a girl with a height of 154 cm, about seventy petals were needed. If your child is larger or smaller, you will have to make a different number of parts.

Then we need to make a dress blank. You can sew it, or you can take a usually white dress, as we did in this master class. Now you need to attach the petals. We do this using a stapler with large paper clips, moving from bottom to top.

First we attach the bottom row. Then we retreat ten cm and attach the second row in a checkerboard pattern. Again we retreat ten cm and make the third row. We work up to the very top of the skirt.

The skirt for the dress is already ready.

For the top you will need very tightly compressed paper. From it you can make roses or other fantastic flowers. Hot glue the paper to the top of the dress. For the belt, take a wide satin ribbon and wrap it around your child's waist.

From guipure, which can stretch, we sew these beautiful gloves. Sew a small finger loop on top.

Then you can make a crown for the complete look. The petals above were made using the same tutorial, but smaller in size. Then we attach them to the hoop.

We make a handbag in a complementary color to the dress.

The last step is to spray the product with silver glitter varnish. And that’s it, the excellent dress for the competition is already ready.

Trashion Fashion - dresses made from recycled materials, scrap materials and garbage - Practical.RU

I was inspired to write this article by my daughter, who on Valentine’s Day had to prepare a dress from scrap materials for a school competition. We started scouring the Internet... and found out (!) that anything can be used: shopping bags, plastic bags, newspapers, maps, labels, vegetable nets, tin cans and even rubber gloves and condoms!

So let's see what it looks like.

Probably the easiest option to implement at home is dresses made from plastic bags . Affordable and very fast!

Beer and soda cans The keys to such cans can also be used.

Although, of course, it will take much more skill to create such a dress.

Original dresses are made from rubber gloves . Of course, they cannot be called waste material. But they look gorgeous!

The same applies to dresses made from condoms . I doubt that people collect used ones. So the cost of such a “masterpiece” is very high!

A dress made from newspapers, cardboard and geographical maps looks very unique. But you have to try very hard so that in such a dress you can go somewhere beyond the fitting room.

Toilet paper can also be used, but you should be very careful when “sewing.”

Dress made of money. Jules Paons created this dress out of money.. Money is not trash, of course.. but it’s also very creative..)

A dress made of balloons is, in my opinion, one of the most successful options with which you can perform at a competition and compete for first place. Some models, for example, from photo No. 1, can even be made from damaged and holed balloons, so they are quite suitable for the “dresses made from garbage” competition.

What else can you use to create a dress? Yes, everything that has nowhere else to be placed - old umbrellas, disposable cups, CDs, washcloths, garden hose, wire, firecrackers, hair... By the way, it looks very terrible with hair?

You can make dresses from the most natural garbage - empty packaging of washing powders, chips, pasta, M&M's. In my opinion, this is already extreme. Although, perhaps, this is precisely the condition of your competition - then go ahead!

Tiger cub and Christmas tree

The image of a tiger cub is perfect for children in the nursery group. It can be made from a children's overalls and an orange hat. Cut thin strips from black fabric and glue or sew them onto the overalls in a chaotic manner. Sew voluminous padding polyester ears to the hat.

For the New Year's party, you can make an original Christmas tree costume from green rubber gloves.

Such an unusual children's costume made from improvised materials is shown in the photo below:

Don’t rush to buy expensive masquerade outfits, because you can make them yourself using cheap improvised materials.

Constructing dresses from scrap materials / photo 2019

In general, human imagination is not limited at all - this is an axiom. This is becoming especially visible now, when everyone is trying to come up with something to stand out from the crowd, but are attempts always successful? We've already gotten to the clothes (Gaga's meat dress immediately comes to mind) - sometimes you get wonderful creations, and sometimes... it's better to just turn away)

Continuing the theme of my previous post about paper dresses, I would like to show a few more options:

The previous and subsequent dresses were created by the Doberman studio represented by Alexandra Zakharova and Ilya Plotnikov, and some of them appeared in one of the issues of L'Officel for 2009

The bows look a little unreal... Of course, I understand that they can easily be made from paper, but somehow this sight still worries me)

Round shaped black and white collar and I’m killed, I want a dress like this, but preferably made of fabric!

Alien snail))) Charming headdress - my imagination is too wild, now I’ll have nightmares at night...

What follows is a small selection of different paper dresses) This dress is made only from pages torn from a phone book

Dresses made of colored paper look no less attractive:

Well, apparently paper is too banal, so everything that comes to hand is used...

Although, you won’t surprise anyone with dresses made from condoms either.

Green Leaf Dress

Oh, we can’t do without dresses made from hair)

Chrysanthemums are also suitable if you want to make a new dress:

There are no flowers, but there is a tree at hand? This will do too!

If you really want to, you can also take light bulbs)))

Carefully! For the faint of heart, it’s best not to watch this masterpiece:

Dress made of corollas!!!!!!

If whisks, telephone directories, etc. and so on. If you don’t have one at home, then you can use a garbage bag) it can also turn out quite nice)

By the way, take a closer look at Ke$ha’s dress) doesn’t it remind you of anything?

I feel that soon it will not be fashionable to wear simple dresses, I will have to come up with something fancy and pretentious in order to stand out at least a little from the crowd...

  3. Then we fold the lower rectangle up to half its height and bend the corners obtained from below towards the middle.
  4. We lay out these triangles in a row according to color, connect them together, stitching in the corners and along. New rows must be positioned so that when it is stitched along the length, the line also covers the previous one.

We use paper

A large amount of unnecessary paper can be found in every home. It will be an excellent consumable for creating a dress.

Materials:

  • wallpaper;
  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • sewing meter

The meter is useful for taking and marking the necessary parameters. The required indicators depend on the model of the product itself. In cases where a fitted model is needed, measurements should be taken directly with paper . This will allow you to select accurate data and avoid the possibility of creating a dress that is too tight.

This is interesting: What to Eat for Dinner

To create a full skirt, several layers are used. It is recommended to make each layer a few centimeters shorter than the previous one. The layers are attached to each other using glue.

Master class on making a party dress using CDs

We present to your attention a simple and quick master class on making a bright and unusual dress for a costume party. Based on this description, we offer two ways to create a dress from scrap materials:

  • Laying CDs on an evening dress base;
  • Making a dress from the CDs themselves.

So, the fastest and easiest way to make an unusual dress is as follows. Take an old and no longer needed dress that suits you and start decorating it. The method and principle of decoration can be absolutely any. You can decorate only the bottom of the dress, shoulders or waist area. The principle of fixing compact discs is as follows: you thread a ribbon through the hole in the disc and sew it to the base of the dress.

The second option for making a dress is a little more complicated. Here you will need to create the entire dress from old CDs.

For work you will need the following materials:

  • Lots of satin ribbon;
  • A large number of old CDs;
  • Decorative elements for a dress.

Start making a dress out of CDs. Cut a piece of satin ribbon. The size of the piece of ribbon should correspond to the radius of the CD multiplied by four.

Thread one end of the ribbon into the hole of one disk. And the second through the hole of the other and tie the ends. In this way, form a vertical row of your dress.

Now tie the vertical rows with other pieces of satin ribbon in the horizontal direction. Then you can attach more disks to this frame. Also use ribbons to secure decorative elements to the base of the dress.

After such simple manipulations, you have an unusual dress made from scrap materials.

Sweetie

How to make a costume with your own hands, especially if you need it for a girl? After all, the girl is constantly moving and loves to dance. This means that the outfit should have lightness and freedom of movement.

At the same time, it should attract the attention of boys, while simultaneously emphasizing individual features.

But how can this be achieved? The answer is simple - make an outfit in the form of a delicious candy.

For this job, mom will need the following tools and materials:

  • A piece of colored fabric, preferably pink satin;
  • Tulle in green and white shades;
  • Sheet of cardboard;
  • Corrugated paper;
  • Adhesive;
  • Scissors;
  • Additional accessories.

The instructions for sewing such a suit are as follows:
  • First, we make a pipe from pink satin. Next, using alternating colors, sew on the ribbons (in diagonal order);
  • Hem the top and bottom edges to insert elastic;
  • We add straps to get a yoke for the outfit;
  • Take tulle fabric and cut out two strips (white and green). One wide for the skirt, and the second narrower for the upper ruffles;
  • We sew a cylinder-shaped skirt from tulle fabric, leaving the white color at the top.
  • Then we sew the narrow strips together, where white is the top and green is the bottom;
  • Sew the skirt and ruffles to the yoke. We insert thick elastic bands at the top and bottom of the hem. Add glitter, beads for beauty and that’s it, the candy costume is ready.

Of course, you can sew a costume for a girl with your own hands in another way.

But it is the image of a cheerful and relaxed candy that remains the most popular today. Although the final choice will still remain with the baby.
