What do we need?

How to make a doll?
The first step is to prepare the threads. To do this, we wrap them on a small cardboard (its size depends on how long you will make the doll’s hair). It’s best to take it with a reserve, and then just trim off the excess.
Next, you need to cut the wire so that when folded in half it is equal to the height of our full-length thread doll. Please note that in this case decorative wire is used, but you can easily replace it with regular wire. The main thing is that it is not too thin: otherwise, bend the wire in several layers.
Thread the wire into the hole of the bead and pull it until it stops. If it is much thinner than the hole, make a knot at the exit - intertwine the wire.
Next we need to take another wire. Its length is equal to the arm span of our future doll. We make a wire binding just below the fairy's head and secure this place with thread. Then, with the same thread, we continue to braid the doll’s body to the place where we determine the beginning of its legs.
Let's wrap the doll's arms and legs separately. If the wire is thin enough. You can make a winding in two or more layers. Then we take a beautiful decorative braid (preferably not satin, as its small pieces will spread out) and make a shirt for the fairy. If there is no braid, you can cut an old lace doily or handkerchief into narrow strips that are easy to work with. At the same stage, the bead is painted white so that the head of our doll is not just wooden.
The parts can be sewn or glued - whichever is more convenient for you. Cut out several leaves from the fabric. This is done to ensure that the skirt is quite full and looks beautiful. It is better to take different fabric - two or three types. In this case, nylon tape looks very nice. We sew the fabric, glue it or screw it with wire.
To make the junction of the skirt and shirt look beautiful, add a horizontal ribbon-braid. Separately, we will glue the wings of our fairy. You can take a ready-made version (butterfly clips for curtains and gifts are perfect), cut it out using a stencil, or simply fold it out of wire and then cover it with fabric. Add rhinestones or beautiful beads along the edges of the wings.
All that remains is to draw the doll’s face and add decorations to your liking.

How to make a New Year's Winx Fairy costume with your own hands?
For adults, the Winx fairies are something new. Moms, and even more so dads, will never remember the names of numerous cartoon heroines and the magic they possess. Girls love teenage fairies for their kind hearts, ability to make friends and resist evil, and incredible sense of style.
IMPORTANT: There are six Winx Club fairies, and they change outfits in almost every frame. This can play into the hands of the parents of the girl who got the role of one of these sorceresses at the matinee. Firstly, she can become Bloom, Stella, Muse, Tecna, Layla or Flora. Secondly, her costume can be assembled from literally everything that is at hand.

First of all, you need to think about what the fairy girl will actually wear. The girls from the cartoon are quite modern; they do not wear fluffy ball gowns and mind-bogglingly complex hairstyles. A Winx outfit can easily be made from what a girl has in her closet. Costume elements can include:

- T-shirt on one shoulder, preferably also with decoration
- short shorts
- leggings or leggings in bright colors

- The Winx fairy skirt will be very interesting if you make it from ribbons of different lengths, alternating them 1 through 1 or 1 through 2. The bottom of the skirt will be equal and asymmetrical.
- The skirt can be made very short, 25-35 cm long, depending on the girl’s height. The fact is that she will not dress on a naked body or nylon tights, but on leggings or leggings to match the color.
- Tulle ribbons are cut in this way: into a long sheet of 30*2+4=64 cm, where 4 cm is an increase per knot. For a short canvas, respectively, 25*2+4=54 cm.
- The length of the elastic band that acts as a skirt belt should be equal to the girl’s waist circumference minus 4 cm.
- The edges of the elastic are sewn together.
- They put an elastic band on the back of a chair, a large book, which is much more convenient.
- The ribbons are folded in half and threaded under the elastic with a loop.
- The ends of the ribbon are threaded into the loop, the loop is tightened, but so that the elastic does not wrinkle.
- When all the tulle ribbons are attached to the skirt, they can be sprayed with hairspray with glitter and decorated with rhinestones, securing them with hot glue.

The main Winx heroines have long, bright hair. The costume may need to be supplemented with a wig. Considering that older girls are reincarnated as Bloom, Flora, Muse, Tecna, Leila or Stella, you need to think about doing light makeup in the Winx style - choose eye shadow with glitter to match the color of the costume, line your eyelashes, tint your lips with a moderately bright color lipstick.

Wings for a fairy
When the issue with the dress is resolved, it’s time to start making wings - light and airy, decorated like a fairy tale. Frameless wings, which are attached to the skirt suit itself and sleeves, are perfect for a fairy costume
The most advantageous, of course, are magic wings made from wire and light fabric (in extreme cases, you can use ordinary gauze). Especially if you embroider them with sparkles, fur trim, New Year's tinsel, and bugles.

Materials:
- 1 wooden bead with a diameter of 4 cm with a central hole;
- 2 pieces of wire with lint (pipe cleaner), each 29 cm long;
- a small ball of wool yarn;
- a small piece of lace 2 cm wide;
- 3 skeletonized leaves;
- 3 leaves of cotton fabric, cut according to the skeletonized leaf pattern;
- ready-made feather wings or 4 decorative feathers;
- 4 small ribbon flowers;
- white and black gouache paint.
Tools:

- a rectangle of thick cardboard measuring 12.5 x 10 cm.
These adorable DIY fairy dolls can be made quite quickly. You can also involve children in the work.
Top for Tinker Bell costume
There is nothing complicated here, we take a piece of lycra, fold it face to face, take a suitable T-shirt for the child and trace it directly over the fabric. We immediately model it - make a one-shoulder top. We process it on an overlocker, while grinding it down. The shirt is almost ready.
We cut out facings for the neckline and armhole. Fold in half and iron.
Next is another one of my problems. I decided to put an Epaulet on the shoulder of the top. I took the remains of the gabardine crepe, cut out a rectangle, and extracted the shape of the leaves from it.
By the way, here in the photo below you can see how best to process the transition between the leaves; do not lay the line at an acute angle, but so that it runs as if perpendicular to the cut. The skirt is the same. After notches along the perimeter, with this stitching, the part will fit better after turning it inside out.

We take double-sided interlining and cut it to the size of the part or a little smaller by a few millimeters. We turn the part inside out and put it inside. Iron it. It turns out like this. Small creases between the leaves need to be straightened immediately after turning the part inside out. And also make notches as close to the stitch as possible.
Next, we make leaf veins on the epaulette in the same way as on the skirt, and sew them to the Tinker Bell top. From the remnants of the satin ribbon I made droplet-shaped petals, carefully processed the edges over the candle, not until they were black), they bent a little and took on a concave shape. Then I sewed them with monofilament to the top. It turned out so airy and unusual.
