First, think about the design of the crown, its size, and choose a suitable mount. Don’t forget to look into the sewing accessories store and buy all sorts of decorations, for example, shiny stones, rhinestones, beads, beads.

Before we look at the master class and tell you step by step how New Year's kanzashi crowns are made, let's study the following rules:

• Traditionally, satin ribbons and brocade are used in the kanzashi technique;
• to connect the edges, you can use a hot glue gun or a regular wax candle;
• the base for the crown can be made from a regular hairband;
• if you want a real crown, make the base out of plastic;
• all gaps and the distance between the kanzashi petals can be covered with a ribbon of the appropriate color scheme, lace or paper;
• to make the crown more beautiful, it is better to combine several harmonious colors of the satin ribbon;
• we always use small accessories, beads or seed beads;
• You can make the core of the petals from beads, but you will need fishing line or wire.

Attention! If you use natural fabrics for creativity, carefully singe their edges with a candle. Some types of fabrics may not melt, but burn. This is very dangerous for your health. It is better to choose an alternative method for processing the edge of the tape.

New Year's gift for your princess

Every girl feels like a princess in childhood. To create an original look, you will need an accessory - a kanzashi crown headband. The master class will help you make such a gift for your daughter at home. The width of the rim can be any. It’s better to take a white headband, otherwise it needs to be decorated with ribbon.

Required materials and tools:

• hair hoop;
• satin ribbons 50 mm wide;
• brocade 40 mm wide;
• scissors;
• lighter;
• glue gun;
• measuring tape or ruler;
• tweezers;
• rhinestones or beads.

Step-by-step description of the creative process:

1. Cut out the required number of squares from satin ribbon. The side of each square is 5 cm.
2. We do the same with the brocade ribbon. Only the side of the square is 4 cm.
3. Now fold each square diagonally twice.
4. We connect two parts side by side: one is made of satin ribbon, the other is made of brocade.
5. We fix the edges with tweezers.

6. Now we need to carefully wrap the edges of the triangle inward to make a petal like this.
7. Align the edge and cut off the excess part of the tape.

8. Secure the lower part of the petals with thread or a glue gun.

9. We cover the plastic rim with tape.

10. You can use your imagination and make the base two-color. Try an original weave.
11. Select the center of the rim at the top and glue two petals.

12. Glue two more petals on top. We fix them with a glue gun at the side cuts to the previous petals.

13. By analogy, we continue to decorate the rim with petals, imitating a crown.
14. At the top, the crown or diadem has its highest point. Conventionally speaking, the shape of the tiara resembles a triangle.

15. After we have decorated the entire rim, we decorate the centers of the petals with beads or rhinestones.

Tip: if you think that the design is not very reliable, the petals can be connected on the reverse side with thick cardboard, transparent plastic or fabric.

Crown of multi-layered kanzashi petals

Consumables:

1. Ribbons: satin, brocade 5 cm wide,
2. Headband (mine is 1 cm wide),
3. Ribbons for braiding the headband 1 cm wide,
4. Half beads,
5. Tools: soldering iron (optional), scissors, heat gun, tweezers, etc.

We will assemble this crown on a rim, which we will first braid with ribbons. To begin, we make 35 multi-layered sharp petals from satin and brocade ribbons 5 cm wide.

Now we will braid the headband with ribbons and leave two ribbons so that we can tie the headband under the hair so that it holds more securely. Mark the middle of the rim and start gluing the petals.

We glue the first one exactly in the center (with the tip down and the melted part up). We will glue 7 petals from it in each direction. The first row of the crown will consist of 15 parts.

We also glue the second row in the amount of 15 pieces between the petals of the first row. But now we turn the petal over and glue it with the melted side down.

The third row will consist of 6 petals, place them in the center of the crown. We decorate the joints of the petals with half beads.

To decorate the back side of the crown we will make leaves from brocade. Take 2 pieces of 5x5 cm, put them together and cut them diagonally with a soldering iron or burner. If these tools are not available, then you can pinch the ribbons with tweezers, cut them and melt them over a fire, thereby gluing them together. It took me 13 leaves. We made another crown with our own hands, but the master classes don’t end there.

Feel like a queen

What about a New Year's party at work? An adult also wants fun and a little magic. Your outfit and evening look will be complemented by an original crown made of kanzashi ribbons. The master class will help you make an extraordinary accessory that will be appreciated by others. You can use a regular hairband as a basis. This royal accessory can be easily removed at any time. And you won’t ruin your hair.

Required materials and tools:

• satin ribbons of various colors;
• beads or rhinestones;
• headband for hair of any width;
• brocade ribbon;
• scissors;
• candle;
• glue gun or thread with a needle;
• ruler.

Step-by-step description of the creative process:

1. We will make such a beautiful crown.

4. Cut out the required number of squares from a satin ribbon 50 mm wide.
5. We also cut out squares from a brocade ribbon, the width of which is 40 mm.
6. We will also need a satin ribbon 25 mm wide. We also cut out the required number of squares from it. We will get triple petals.

7. Let's prepare the headband right away. We wrap it completely with brocade.
8. In this case, it is better not to use satin, as it slips.

9. We take one square of wide satin ribbon and brocade.
10. We fold the double triangles and fix them together using a glue gun.
11. Carefully trim the uneven edges.
12. We also make a double triangle from a smaller satin square and place it in the center of the petal. This is the element we get.

13. By analogy, we need to make a couple dozen more of these petals to decorate the crown.
14. Now we take brocade, we need to make triple branches from it.
15. Fold the square diagonally twice.
16. Then grab the triangle in a straight line with tweezers.

17. We cut off the corner that protrudes on the left.
18. We singe the edges of the brocade with a special soldering iron or lighter.
19. Let's make several of these sticks.
20. Then, using a glue gun, we connect the individual parts into these triple branches.

21. It is better to place a twig consisting of five parts in the middle.
22. Now we completely cover the base of the rim with petals.

23. This is what we got.

24. Find the center of the crown and glue a twig between the petals.
25. Next, we alternate the elements: glue a twig and a petal in between.
26. Using a glue gun, attach a translucent tape to the reverse side. For reliability, you can use thick cardboard.

New Year's crown made of ribbons

To work you will need:

• hair band;
• satin ribbon;
• guipure ribbon;
• matches or lighter;
• scissors;

Wrap the headband with two different ribbons. It will be the main detail of the needlework. Wrap it with ribbons in a checkerboard pattern, as shown in the photo.

Cut squares of satin ribbons with a side of 5 cm, and guipure squares with a side of 2 cm, as in the photo.

Take a large square and bend it diagonally. Connect the corners, burn with a lighter, and make a second square. Connect them by matching the corners and folding the petal. Cut the corners and burn with fire. From the wrong side, cut off the convex part.

Make small petals using the same technique. Here you will need tweezers. To form the crown, you need to make eleven large and seven small kanzashi petals.

Take 5 large petals and connect them using hot glue. Use a pencil to place a mark in the center of the rim and glue the blank.

After this, glue the remaining large petals on the sides.

Cut a piece of tape and glue 7 small pieces onto it, forming a flower. Add a large bead or heart-shaped stone to the middle of the flower. The color of the bead should be in harmony with the princess's dress. Glue a small flower in the center of the crown.
